Jose Mourinho is the second season manager, winning the title in his second season in charge of every club. This term, his team is struggling to keep up with Man City, and now rumors link the Portuguese boss with an exit.
This is according to Manchester Evening News, with the newspaper reporting that the Special One has been contacted by PSG. Mourinho has previously spoken highly of the Ligue 1 leaders, leading to their alleged interest in the former Real Madrid and Chelsea boss.
The newspaper claims that Jorge Mendes, the manager’s agent, has been approached by the French mega spenders. Rumored tension between the world’s most expensive player Neymar and Unai Emery, as well as Cavani, have people believing that Les Parisiens are in search of a replacement for their current tactician.
Whether Mourinho accepts the offer is up for debate, however. His current deal doesn’t expire until 2019, with there being an option to extend for another year. M.E.N insists that the Special One’s true desire is not an exit, though; it is full backing in the transfer window.
Despite breaking the transfer record for Paul Pogba last season, the Red Devils boss still feels his club is a few major signings away from being complete. Jose, who has his eyes on another bid for Antoine Griezmann, wants Ed Woodward to sanction a spending spree in order to compete with the likes of PSG and Man City.
