Lionel Messi is extremely confident ahead of Tuesday’s Barcelona vs Arsenal Last 16 match in the UEFA Champions League. La Pulga doesn’t see how the Gunners can oust the Catalans.
Lionel Messi, who was part of the Barca team that lost 2-1 against Arsenal at the Emirates back in February, insists that his side know what to do to overturn last time’s defeat. Thanks to David Villa’s away goal, a 1-0 victory will be enough for the Blaugrana to reach the next stage.

Actually, Barcelona need to win or die, but Messi is not entertaining fears ahead of Tuesday’s clash at the Camp Nou. According to Mirrorfootball.co.uk, the Argentine play maker questioned Arsenal’s defensive abilities while he expressed his buoyant mood:

“We remain confident of progressing. Obviously, we were bitterly disappointed to lose the first leg at the Emirates and felt we created more than enough chances to win the game.

“But it will be a different story in Spain. I am not sure Arsenal are a side who can play to defend; and that will leave them very open.

“We are a side that will always create chances. It’s important for us to be clinical and ruthless in front of goal, with so much at stake.

“Our elimination at the hands of Inter last season has served to motivate us even more. We haven’t considered the prospect of elimination even after the first leg defeat against Arsenal.”

Barcelona will have to contest for a quarter-final spot in the UEFA Champions League without Carles Puyol. The skipper is still out with a knee problem.
