Both France and Spain aiming to end international break on a high note

France

The hosts come into this game having earned a 3-1 win over Luxembourg. A brace from Olivier Giroud and a solitary effort from Antoine Griezmann were enough to give Didier Deschamps's side all three points and maintain France's long-standing winning run against the minnows. However, it was far from an impressive showing by the EURO 2016 runners-up, who had to work a lot harder than expected against a staunchly defensive Luxembourg side.

That being said, there were some positives. Monaco's young starlet Kylian Mbappe became the youngest French international since Maryan Wisniewski to feature for Les Bleus. At 18 years and 95 days, he is the second youngest behind Wisniewski, who was 18 years and 61 days old when he featured for the team against Sweden on April 3, 1955. Should Mbappe - who has been compared to Thierry Henry - start in this game, he will become the youngest ever starter for Les Bleus.

Spain

Meanwhile, Spain had no trouble seeing off Israel thanks to goals from David Silva, Vitolo, Diego Costa and Isco. La Furia Roja are locked in a battle with Italy for top spot in their group, but sit ahead of the Azzurri thanks to their superior goal difference. However, Diego Costa is expected to play no part in this friendly after suffering an injury during a training session. This thus could see Real Madrid's Alvaro Morata return to the starting XI. Although it's just a friendly, Julen Lopetegui is expected to field a pretty strong line-up, as France will do likewise - thus setting the stage for what should be an entertaining clash from start to finish.
