Probabilities are very few with only four teams left, yet many fans are lost in predictions. How will Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Real Madrid be paired on Friday in Nyon?

Atletico Madrid arguably provided the biggest result in the Last 8 by kicking giants Barcelona out of the competition. The Rojiblancos needed a lone goal from Koke in the second leg to beat the Catalans 2-1 on aggregate.

This sealed the fact that “Barca are out whereas Bayern, Atletico, Real Madrid and Chelsea are all in the semis.”

Bayern Munich were perhaps not that spectacular against Manchester United but they did more than enough to embarrass David Moyes and £300k-a-week striker Wayne Rooney. Even Bastian Schweinsteiger’s red card in the first leg didn’t cause Bayern much damage. Pep Guardiola once again exhibited his tricks in a 4-2 aggregate win against the sorry Red Devils.

Poor Moyes! Evra's lead at the Allianz Arena didn't last for long.

Meanwhile Bayern’s German rivals, Borussia Dortmund, could not accomplish their mission. Their poor display at the Santiago Bernabeu punished them. A 3-0 deficit was never going to be able to surmount. In the second leg, they gave Real Madrid a real scare with Marco Reus scoring twice. However, a third goal to send the game into extra time never occurred. Los Blancos’ dream to win La Decima in 2014 therefore remains alive.

As for Chelsea, they staged a great comeback against PSG to qualify on away goals. From 3-1 down in the first leg to a memorable 2-0 triumph at Stamford Bridge. Obviously, Jose Mourinho could not contain himself in celebration.
