Seydou Keita has urged Barcelona to clinch their third Supercopa de España trophy in a row.
Barcelona will travel to Real Madrid for the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup on August 14 before hosting Los Blancos on August 17. Ahead of this two-legged contest, midfielder Seydou Keita has underlined the importance of winning for the sake of great momentum.

“Obviously, it’s not a World Cup Final. But a game against Real Madrid is always important, both for the fans and for us players,” Seydou Keita told reporters this week.

“It’s a final and both teams will want to win. What’s more, it’s the first official competition in the season and it’s always important to start on a winning note.”

Barcelona have won the most Supercopa de España titles and are the current champions. They beat Sevilla 5-3 on aggregate last year after suffering a real scare in the first leg as they had lost 3-1 away from home.

The Catalans are arguably favorite to triumph this year as well but no-one will dare taking Real Madrid lightly. Los Blancos are a much better side now, according to Xavi, and their pre-season results so far have been fantastic with Cristiano Ronaldo on top of his form.
