This weekend’s big match in La Liga is between Barcelona and Valencia and Los Che will create a 6-point lead over 4th placed Barca with a win.
According to midfielder Dominguez, the game will test Valencia's strength to win the domestic title for the first time in 7 years. It may seem strange to many that Valencia are currently doing so well on the domestic front following the exit of play makers David Villa and David Silva.

Another remarkable thing is that Villa is now a Barcelona player but his presence with the Catalans has so far not managed to help his new club outclass Los Che in La Liga standings.

How long can Valencia hold on to their remarkable run in the league?

Barcelona will be hoping to respond to this answer with a routine victory over their La Liga rivals and the challenge that they will pose appears as a test to Alejandro Dominguez who explained during a press conference on Tuesday:

“It will be a match between two great teams, one in which Valencia can check the level that it’s at. We are hoping to put on a good show. If we get the tree points, will believe that we can win the league.”

Only three points separate the first place from the fourth place in La Liga’s table standings. Between the leaders Valencia and Barcelona, there are Villarreal and Real Madrid who also stand as dangerous contenders for the title.

The race in Spain’s Primera Division has just started, but Valencia will definitely signal a great warning to other teams if they defeat Barcelona – especially since everyone is aware of the Blaugrana’s immense strength at the Camp Nou.
