The Spanish captain may be mulling over whether or not to remain with Real Madrid this summer.

Despite finishing his domestic campaign on a high note by winning his third Champions League title with Real Madrid, Iker Casillas may be thinking of departing the capital club this summer.

And although highly decorated goalkeeper who is captain of both club and country, has spent his entire career with Los Blancos, he has reportedly grown frustrated with the rotation policy that has seen Diego Lopez feature in league games and restricted him to cup and continental fixtures.

Disgruntled? Casillas might opt to depart the club where he has spent his entire professional career

According to Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo, the 10-time UCL winners' president, Florentino Perez, had this to say regarding the 33-year-old:

"Iker [represents] the heritage of Real Madrid. I’m not saying he can’t go, but it [will] not [be] easy".

Moreover, as per the same report, he sees nothing wrong with Casillas splitting his goalkeeping duties with Lopez, claiming that it benefits the team as a whole.

This is not the first time that Casillas has been linked with an exit; back in 2013 his comments during a conference call with some youth keepers indicated his irritation at serving as Lopez's understudy and immediately set the rumor mill into overdrive regarding his future with the club.
