The legendary striker shared his thoughts about the Brazilian ace, hinting that he feels Neymar has a long way to go before being considered one of the best.

Edson Arantes Do Nascimento "Pelé", considered by many as the greatest player in football's history, criticized his compatriot Neymar, stating that there are aspects of his game that need improvement before he can be considered as one of the best footballers of our time.

"Neymar isn't even among Santos' top ten players. He doesn't contribute on defense, he's not a playmaker and he can't carry the ball box-to-box. Answer this: how many goals has he scored with his head? Neymar is a good player, but it's hard to compare him with others considering all those flaws," the legend stated.

Pelé's words come a day after Samuel Eto'o praised Barcelona's Number 11 for his patience on and off the pitch, since he is often criticized in his home country just like Pelé did today.

Years ago, Pelé referred to Neymar as "his son".

"O Rei" also shared his thoughts about Lionel Messi, but the Argentine did not escape a little lesson by the former footballer. The Brazilian legend also highlighted Messi's flaws right after he praised his skills.

"He is the best player in the last ten years, but he doesn't hit the ball with his head enough, and he uses his left leg way more than his right," Pelé added.

Finally, Pelé stated that if he played nowadays, he would have dominated the game.

"Pelé would be better than before today, since there is more focus now on the physical aspect of the game. I used the gift God gave me to excel, but if I had trained with today's methods, I would've been unstoppable," the Brazilian legend concluded.
