While Thibaut Courtois running for La Liga Goalkeeper of the year does not surprise anyone, the same cannot be said for Levante’s Keylor Navas. However, if one looks at the Costa Rican’s performance, the doubts start to disappear.

Levante’s number one has had an amazing season and will be on the radar of most teams during this summer’s transfer-window.Navas has kept 15 clean sheets this season, which for a team like Levante is not the easiest task.

As Levante’s manager, Joaquin Caparros, said after the win against Atletico Madrid:

“In key moments, Keylor Navas has helped us.”

Levante’s boss added:

“To beat such a quality opponent, you have to be intense, show maximum efficiency and have a good goalkeeper.”

In a few months, Italy, England, and Uruguay, all expected to beat Costa Rica, will have a rather difficult task beating Navas, especially considering that the goalkeeper stated:

“I feel quite relaxed. For me it’s a great challenge to play against the best.”
