The Uruguayan international believes he made the right choice in leaving FC Porto for the South American champions.
Jorge Fucile, the Uruguayan right-back of Santos, affirmed that he has had no trouble adapting to Brazilian soccer since joining the South American champions from FC Porto this season.

Fucile also expressed his appreciation for the manner in which his new team-mates and the Santos fans have treated him upon his arrival.

"The fans received me very well, everyone with their arms wide open. For this reason my adaptation to Brazilian soccer has been easier. I'm passing through a good moment here. We feel the pressure to win titles, and I hope to continue to help Santos win. We are working for this," stated Fucile, before revealing his best friends within the Santos squad.

"I think my Uruguayan blood has some Brazilian in it, because I'm very social. I like chatting to Neymar and Paulo [Henrique Ganso] most. I also speak to Edu [Dracena], my room partner, a lot. I'm the room partner of the captain and we chat heaps. I have to be grateful to the whole team," he declared.

Fucile also admitted that he has once again found happiness in his career, since arriving in Brazil.

"I'm happy. This is something that was missing in my life. I won a lot of things at my last club Porto, but I wasn't playing and that is difficult for any athlete. I feel that my decision to come to Santos was definitely the right one," he concluded.

Santos currently find themselves in fourth-place of the 20-team Paulista Championship with 27 points, five points less than league leaders Palmeiras with 32 points. Due to this they are in a must-win situation at home to Bragantino on Sunday.
