Real Madrid's manager admitted the team is not going through its best stage, but eased the pressure on his strikers.

During his pre-match press conference earlier today, Carlo Ancelotti acknowledged for the first time he's living the most complicated moments since he took the job as Real Madrid's coach. The Italian boss referred particularly to the team's "BBC" attack, supporting them despite the low form shown in the past few months.

"We are not playing fast, we are passing the ball too much and we need to try to find the right pass to make the most of our strikers' potential. If I had to replace those who were not playing at their best, I would have to change the whole squad. I have complete confidence in them, they have given us so much in the past and our identity is not going to change," Ancelotti stated today.

"Carletto" referred to the team's current predicaments, after losing La Liga's lead to Barcelona on Sunday, and facing a crucial match against Schalke 04 for the UEFA Champions League. While he still trusts his players can build on their current 2-0 lead over the German side, the Italian coach empashized on how necessary it is for them to be able to live up to the pressure they'll face.

"No team can make any mistakes from now on because otherwise you compromise the campaign. There is more pressure now at this stage of the campaign. In the Champions League, we want to do the best we can because this is the best competition in the world, we did well against German opposition last season and we hope to do the same this year," the Italian added.

Los Blancos will have Luka Modric available for the first time in four months, hoping he can make a contribution to the team's ailing midfield.
