The midfielder apparently has one foot out of the door.

Lazio head coach Simone Inzaghi has revealed that star midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic could be sold in the coming days. The 24-year-old Serbia international has been heavily linked with a transfer this summer and a move to Manchester United is reportedly nearing its completition.

Milinkovic-Savic has been tipped as the potential replacement for the Red Devils' wantaway star Paul Pogba although multiple reports have indicated that the former's probable move to Old Trafford is not dependent on whether the Frenchman stays or leaves. The has been claims that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side has submitted an offer in the excess of 90 million pounds for the Lazio midfielder who signed a new five-year deal in barely a year ago.

With a lot of indications suggesting that Manchester United's interest in the Serbian is tangible, the midfielder's manager has conceded to the prospect of losing his side's most-prized asset.

"The club is right to consider an important offer for the player [Milinkovic-Savic]," Inzaghi said in a news conference according to AS.

"I would like it if he stayed here at Lazio, but it is right that the club could consider an important proposal.

"He has had an amazing pre-season and I'm happy to have him with me. We hope that he will remain in the capital, but the market is open and we are open to any situation.

"I am happy to have Milinkovic-Savic. If he were to leave Lazio, we will have to look for a physical player that can also guarantee us technique.

"In my heart, I hope he can stay with us, but the club is right to consider an important offer for the player."
