Chelsea are in the market for a new striker Ray Wilkins believes that Daniel Sturridge can be an exceptional talent for the Blues
Chelsea currently have an ageing Dider Drogba, a reportedly departuring Nicholas Anelka and a misfiring Fernando Torres. As a solution, the likes of Neymar and Sergio Aguero have all bee linked with a move to the Bridge. Nevertheless, there is someone else that could be the difference after all.

Much vaunted for his exceptional talent and goalscoring abilities, Daniel Sturridge proved it all during his loan spell with Bolton Wanderers last season. Well, scoring eight goals in 11 appearances isn't a bad record at all. And former Chelsea assistant manager Ray Wilkins believes that the England U-21 striker could be force to be reckoned with next season.

"He's an enormously talented guy, he's extremely quick and I've seen him rip the Chelsea senior players to pieces in training, but that has obviously got to be translated on to the Saturday afternoon.

"Unfortunately at Chelsea it didn't quite happen on the Saturday's for Daniel, but going to Bolton where there was slightly less pressure he flourished and played some excellent football.

"He's still only a young man. I honestly believe Daniel can be anything he wants to be if he's prepared to give the blast. I think he could be an exceptional talent for Chelsea."
