The Welsh star had a Q&A session with an American sportswear retailer, snubbing Los Blancos' all-time top scorer.

Gareth Bale's short answer might end setting up a fire inside Real Madrid's locker room, as the Welshman snubbed team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo as the best player he's ever played alongside.

The 2016 UEFA Euro semi-finalist had a Q & A session with American retailer Foot Locker as part of an advertising campaign. When Bale was asked to reveal who is the best player he's shared the pitch with, the world's second most expensive signing ever named one of his countrymen and snubbed CR7.

"For me the greatest player is Ryan Giggs. He was my hero growing up and is a legend in world football. It also helps he’s a fellow Welshman," Bale stated.

Rumors about a complicated relationship between Real Madrid's stars have circled ever since Bale joined Los Blancos. With this quote, the rumor mill will surely start working again.
