A Turkey side which has underperformed in the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers takes on a Hungary side which has so far performed above expectations.

Team News

Turkey and Hungary have no fresh injury worries ahead of this one.

Analysis

Turkey lies a whopping nine points behind the Netherlands in World Cup Qualifying UEFA Group D. Turkey has massively underachieved so far. They are behind second placed Hungary and third placed Romania by four points. This game is a chance for Turkey to get themselves back into contention for at least second place in the group.

Hungary beat them soundly in the reverse fixture, 3-1. Mevlut Erding’s opening goal was cancelled out by Vladimir Koman, Adam Szalai and a Zoltan Gera penalty. Hungary does contain talented stars in their line up but so does Turkey. All in all, this is set to be a highly exciting contest.
