The Dutch are coming into this match after salvaging a 1-1 draw against Turkey at home. A Klaas Jan Huntelaar goal in the ninetieth minute rescued them from an embarrassing defeat. The Dutch are at risk of missing out on the European Championships in 2016 unless they improve quickly. They have already fallen five points behind Iceland in second place and six points behind the Czech Republic in top spot.
As for Spain, they narrowly beat Ukraine 1-0 thanks to a goal from Alvaro Morata. They sit in second place in their group, three points behind Slovakia. Daley Blind feels that the Spanish will be out for revenge according to MUTV and ESPN :
"I think so -- I would have some revenge feelings if I lost against a team too"
"That wouldn't only be after a game at the World Cup, though."
"If you lose against any team, you always want to win the next time you play them. So I think they will have those feelings."
