A report by The Telegraph states that Inter is set to present a new offer to Chelsea, where they would keep Lukaku at the Giuseppe Meazza on loan. Chelsea have been clear to the player's agent that they will only accept a permanent transfer deal for the Belgian, but Inter's offer could be tempting on the long run as things stand.
The report adds that Inter want to include an obligatory buyout clause after the one-year loan ends, which would see them paying Chelsea over $30M. Chelsea have reportedly slapped a $40M price tag on Lukaku, but with the good relationship between the teams, things could settle for a bit less.
Lukaku has been linked to teams such as Milan, but the Belgian has been loyal to the nerazzurri and has shown interest in staying, even if he needs to take a pay cut to do so.
