The Reds are gearing up to host Chelsea in a highly-anticipated Sunday showdown in the Premier League.

Liverpool is gearing up for a crucial Premier League clash this weekend. The Reds will be taking on Chelsea in a highly-anticipated showdown that could make or break their title hopes.

Klopp's men currently lead the standings by two points but have played an extra game. This means they will miss out on the title regardless of how they perform should Man City win all of their remaining games. This means there is no room for a slip-up for the Merseyside giant.

The Blues will go to Anfield with the sole aim of coming away with a win but Klopp has confirmed two positive revelations ahead of their showdown. Both come in the form of injury updates.

Speaking ahead of Sunday's affair, the German boss revealed that both Sadio Mane and Georginio Wijnaldum should be fit for the weekend game. This comes after the two picked up minor injuries.

Their Senegalese forward hurted his thumb while the Dutch midfielder has been dealing with a back issue. However, speaking in a press conference, the Normal One stated that both should shake them off in time for Sunday.

“Sadio fell on his thumb and didn’t train yesterday. He should be OK today,” Klopp said as per Liverpool's official website. “Gini has a bit of a back problem but will train today.”

This will be a huge boost, especially given Mane's contributions for Liverpool this season. The former Southampton attacker has contributed to 24 goals in a Reds jersey this season, scoring 20 and assisting four.
