Juventus come into this game still on top of the Serie A table after beating Cagliari 3-1 at home. Six points ahead of the chasing pack, it's really hard to see anyone dislodging the Bianconeri from top spot in the race for the Scudetto, but naturally, with Inter on a kick and Napoli determined to challenge once again, Massimiliano Allegri is certainly not taking anything for granted.
The 3-1 win over Cagliari was the third straight Serie A game in which Juve had conceded a goal, and in fact, La Vecchia Signora are second-best in the league with goals conceded (8). The team with the best defense at the moment? Inter, who have conceded just six. However, in the Champions League, Juventus can still boast to have the strongest defense, as they have yet to concede a single goal from their first three games. The only other side to have done this was Borussia Dortmund, and they lost to Atletico Madrid yesterday. So, while Juve's own record will certainly end at some point, three wins from three games have them in a good position to qualify for the next round.
Meanwhile, Manchester United earned a hard-fought 2-1 win over Bournemouth on the road to make it three wins in their last four Premier League fixtures. However, Jose Mourinho's side are still outside the top four and with a nine point gap between themselves and Manchester City ahead of this weekend's derby, are pretty much already out of the Premier League title race. The Red Devils' Champions League campaign has not exactly gone to plan, either, with just one victory so far over Young Boys as well as a frustrating stalemate against Valencia seeing them five points behind Juventus on four points.
A 1-0 defeat to Juventus further added to fans' frustration and displeasure regarding Mourinho's work so far with the team, and it goes without saying that the ex-Real Madrid and Inter boss will be hoping to turn things around when his team arrive in Turin. Still, with Juve's formidable record, especially at the Allianz Stadium, that is going to be much easier said than done.
Just as there was much buzz around the first meeting between the two sides as it marked Cristiano Ronaldo's return to Old Trafford, this time around, the second clash will feature Paul Pogba's return to Turin since leaving Juventus a couple of seasons ago. Ronaldo didn't score against his former side in front of the Red Devils support, but nonetheless was on the winning team. Will Pogba be able to inspire Manchester United to a win at the expense of his ex-teammates?

Three wins from three games have Juventus sitting comfortably on top of Group H. At the very least, the Bianconeri will qualify for the next round of the Europa League, regardless of what happens in their next three games. However, given how strong and assured Allegri's side have appeared so far, it would take something shocking to go wrong for them not to qualify for the round of 16. Remember, they still have to play debutants Young Boys again - a team they had no problems beating in a 3-0 victory.
As for Manchester United, Jose Mourinho's troops still have a great chance at also qualifying for the next round, but will need to get themselves sorted out quickly, as Valencia are in action against Young Boys and will be looking to pick up all three points there. A loss for the Red Devils, coupled with a win for Los Che could put their qualification hopes in jeopardy. Even Young Boys are not totally out of the running, either, despite sitting in last position.
Simply put, a win will see Juventus win Group H and send them through to the round of16 with two games to go. Manchester United can really not afford to suffer a second straight defeat.
