Preview
Simply put, it's win or go home for Juventus, who are hoping to make it to another Champions League final after experiencing disappointment last season. Massimiliano Allegri's men will be obviously kicking themselves for throwing away a two-goal advantage in the first leg, and Gonzalo Higuain had a perfect chance to put the game to bed shortly before half-time, but failed to convert from the spot.
Tottenham come into this game with a very formidable home record. In fact, Mauricio Pochettino's squad are unbeaten in 15 home matches (W13 D2) across all competitions, since a 3-2 loss to West Ham United FC in the English League Cup on October 25th. And they have won their last seven games at Wembley, so they're obviously not going down without a fight, especially with two vital away goals in hand. Tottenham come into this game having earned a well-deserved 2-0 win over Huddersfield, courtesy of a Son Heung-Min brace to further consolidate their grip on fourth spot.
Juventus, however, are certainly no slouches. Despite conceding two goals and drawing, which ended their 11 game winning run across all comps, overall, they're still flying high in Serie A, where they have won ten on the trot, scoring 22 goals and conceding just one. That includes a recent 1-0 win over Lazio, in which Paulo Dybala netted a decisive goal to keep up the pressure on Napoli in the battle for the Scudetto.
Here's some food for thought ahead of today's big game:
