Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has set a new record in the English Premier League after winning the Manager of the Month prize. The Blues' sizzling hot form in the December saw the Italian pick up this award for a third time in his debut season.
Furthermore, Conte won all three prizes in consecutive months, becoming the first boss to be named Manager of the Month for three straight months. He beat out competition from Jurgen Klopp, Jose Mourinho, and Mauricio Pochettino.
The former Juventus tactician endured a rough start to life in England, but quickly turned things around at Stamford Bridge. He swiftly guided them to the top of the league, and tied Arsenal’s Premier League record of most consecutive wins in a single season – 13.
Conte didn’t drop a single point over the hectic festive period in which matches were played throughout Christmas and the New Year. Unfortunately for Chelsea, their winning run came to an end at Tottenham, but the 2-0 loss didn’t hamper the Italian’s odds of winning this prize.
