Cable television giant Optus has secured broadcast and digital rights to the pre-season club competition, which will be played in Australia, China, USA and Europe. A total of 21 games will be contested, and details of Optus’ deal reveal that the 15 matches involving Chelsea, Leicester City, Liverpool, PSG, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, AC Milan, Celtic, Barcelona and Real Madrid will all be available live exclusively on Optus Sport.
Subscribers will also have access to live matches from Manchester United, Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund, whereas the three matches played in Australia – in other words, games involving Melbourne Victory, Tottenham Hotspur, Juventus and Atletico Madrid – will be available on Channel Nine only.
