James David Rodriguez Rubio, or simply James Rodriguez, was born on 12 July 1991 in Cucuta, Colombia. The 5ft 11inch star plays as an attacking midfielder or winger for Real Madrid.

Club career

James started his professional career with Colombian outfit Envigado in 2007, joined Argentine side Banfield in 2008, then signed for Portuguese giants FC Porto in 2010. He then moved to AS Monaco in 2013 before landing at Real Madrid after the 2014 World Cup in a mega-deal worth £63M. Here is a quick preview of his numbers at club level:
