Real Madrid needed just five minutes to take the lead against Eibar with a left-footed thunderbolt by the Colombian playmaker.

What would you do if your supporters booed you whenever you touch the ball or your name is called out on the speakers? You pull yourself together and score a perfect free kick!

At least that's what James Rodriguez did against Eibar, drilling a right-hand free kick into the lower corner of Eibar's net to open up Real Madrid's scoring tally against Los Armeros. James had been harshly criticized this season for his poor performances, which made him fall down the pecking order with former boss Rafa Benitez and current manager Zinedine Zidane.

Watch: James scores quite a stunner for Real Madrid against Eibar.

This was James' third direct free kick goal since arriving with Los Blancos. Only Lionel Messi and Dani Parejo have more direct free kick goals than the Colombian in the most recent two seasons.
