Former Manchester United defender-cum-manager Gary Neville could join struggling Premier League side Aston Villa as manager. SkyBet have given the former Valencia boss an 8/1 odd of becoming the next Villa manager. However, other possible candidates mentioned by bookies include former Man United and Everton boss David Moyes, Steve Bruce, Mick McCarthy and Nigel Pearson.
Although Neville does not have the kind of experience that the other four managers in the list possess, he is still one of the favourites to save the relegation-bound club. The 41-year-old has also been linked with a return to Old Trafford as assistant manager of the Red Devils after parting ways of the Spanish side barely four months after taking charge at Mestalla.

Meanwhile, Man Utd will have to increase their speed in the chase for Jose Mourinho’s signature. The Sun reports that Valencia have joined the race for The Special One’s signature, something that could divert his attention if a better deal is tabled by the Spanish giants.
