Arsenal's Champions League campaign was given one last chance to continue, and the Gunners have Alexis Sanchez to thank for it. The Chilean striker scored a brace for Arsene Wenger's crew and also assisted Mesut Özil for the first goal of the game, giving the London-based team the chance to fight for their spot in the Round of 16 against Olympiakos in two weeks.
Özil headed in the game's first goal after a cross by the South American wingman, and four minutes later, Nacho Monreal assisted the Chilean for the game's second goal. Arsenal needed one more to have a better chance of making it to the knockout stage, and Alexis delivered for them with his second goal after 69 minutes.
In order to make it to the next round, Arsenal will have to travel to Greece and win their game against the Greek champions. Any other outcome of that game would strip them from the chance to fight for Europe's top club competition.

Hazard hasn't scored a goal in 23 games, meanwhile Alexis grabbed himself a brace after controlling the ball with his back.

I'm sure most of us would have liked to see Alexis come off and have a bit of a rest

Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil are different class, thank god they play for Arsenal.

I think Alexis just shaded the Man of the Match from Özil in the end, 2 goals and an assist, back in form, just in time!
