Guinea's modest 10 appearances in the Africa Cup of Nations include three consecutive quarter-finals in 2004, 2006, and 2008. Their best finish in the tournament was in 1976 when they were beaten in the finals by Morocco in Ethiopia. How Guinea qualified for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations
Guinea were the 11th team to qualify for CAN 2015, finishing as runners up to Ghana in Group E with 10 points. They started on a bright note, beating Togo at home by a score line on 2-1. Their highest point during the qualification campaign was their 4-1 return leg win over Togo. Their lowest was the 3-1 away leg drubbing at the hands of eventual Group E winners Ghana.
