Storia, formato, organizzazione, copertura mediatica di Omani League
La Lega Professionistica Omanita, precedentemente conosciuta come Omantel Elite League, è il campionato di massima divisione in Oman. Fondata nel 1976, la competizione è diventata professionistica solo nel settembre 2013, da cui il cambio di nome. La lega segue un formato a doppio girone all'italiana, il che significa che ogni squadra affronta ogni altro club due volte a stagione. La massima serie omanita funziona con un sistema di promozione/retrocessione, con le squadre peggiori che scendono nella Prima Divisione Omanita, il secondo livello del paese.
