The numbers are looking good for the Gunners!

Arsenal grabbed its first win in four games against Bournemouth via a 2-1 scoreline in Sunday's Premier League encounter at the Vitality Stadium. The Gunners took the lead in the 29th-minute through Jefferson Lerma's own goal.

The Colombian stretched to get a foot on Sead Kolasinac's cross but only managed to redirect the ball past his own goalkeeper from about 14 yards out. The Cherries' marksman Josh King, however, ensured that Arsenal's lead was relinquished before the half-time break.

The 26 years old Norwegian combined with 21-year-old midfielder David Brooks in a counterattack to finish off the move with his left foot. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, in the 67th-minute, ensured that the three points were taken to the Emirates ahead Thursday's Europa League outing with Ukrainian side Vorskla Poltava. The Gabonese striker grabbed his 20th career goal for the Gunners by tapping home a cross from the left-flank by Sead Kolasinac.

The ex-Dortmund man subsequently became par with Sergio Aguero as the Premier League's top scorers of the ongoing season.

"I think we knew that it would be a tough game today and it was really tough, but it's good to be back with a win," Aubameyang said following Sunday's win.

"The goal before half-time was bad for us because at half time we spoke and we knew that in the second half we had to come back out with a better intensity.

"We knew that we had to put some aggression into the game and do better than we did in the first half. We are following the process and we will continue in this way. The group is living well so we will try to continue in this way," he concluded.

Sunday win was Arsenal's fourth of the season. Retrospectively, the victory means that the Gunners have recorded the same number of wins away from home in six matches this season just as they did in 19 matches in the 2017/2018 campaign.

The triumph at the Vitality also took Unai Emery's side's unbeaten run to 17 matches across all competitions. The last defeat suffered can be traced back to the 3-2 beating at Chelsea back in August.
