Lewandowski demands transfer to Real Madrid

Lewandowski pushes for Real Madrid exit as Bayern lines up replacement

March 24, 2018 By Oscar Rojas
The Polish striker is determined to force his exit to Los Blancos, and Bayern's hiearchy has set their sights on a new No. 9.

A change of guard seems to be coming for Bayern Munich, as their trusted striker Robert Lewandowski is not willing to continue playing for this club.

According to the Daily Mail, Lewandowski has already voiced his desire to Karl Heinz Rummenigge, Bayern's chief exec, regarding his willingness to leave the club.

Lewandowski fired his long-time agent Cezary Kucharsky a month ago, in what was seen as one of many moves needed to force his move to Real Madrid. "Lewa" went on to hire well-known agent Pini Zahavi, who became famous for his involvement in the Neymar-to-PSG a year ago.

Lewandowski's interest in  telling Bayern Munich about his plans in advance was seen as a token of the player's appreciation to the club, since he wants them to find a suitable replacement. According to the Daily Mail and Marca, the frontrunners to fill Lewandowski's void would be German striker Timo Werner and Tottenham's Harry Kane.

While the move for the RB Leipzig ace seems more doable for the German titans, their quest to land Kane would also be fueled by their interest in Mauricio Pochettino, and a double swap move shouldn't be ruled out due to Bayern's need to find a replacement for departing boss Juup Heynckes.
