Don’t write Hapoel Tel-Aviv off this soon as UEFA Champions League contenders! Coach Eli Guttman has made it clear that his side wants to finish as Group B runners-up at least.
Hapoel Tel-Aviv play Benfica away from home with the desire of getting a positive result which would help the team achieve its ambitions in Europe. Coach Eli Guttman sees a lot of weakness within the section’s teams. Olympique Lyonnais, Schalke, and Benfica indeed all have their problems when it comes to domestic football this season… just like Hapoel Tel-Aviv actually.

Based on this issue, the manager has found confidence and hope to compete successfully in Group B and eventually reach the Round of 16. A bright start in Portugal would offer Hapoel Tel-Aviv more audacity to keep dreaming. Coach Eli Guttman thinks that Benfica’s worries could set a good platform for his side. In his analysis of the Portuguese side ahead of the match, the boss explained:

“Well, I see a weak point within Benfica and I think it’s because they’ve lost many important players [not to mention names like Chelsea’s Ramires].

“The team that is on the pitch now is different from the one that won the league title last season. Benfica need some time to integrate their new players. Perhaps, the match on Tuesday will come early enough for us to take advantage of that.”

Benfica vs Hapoel Tel Aviv kicks off at 2:45pm EST like all the other seven UEFA Champions League match on Tuesday. Let’s see which team will top Group B at the end of the first match-day.
