The Everton goalkeeper under the spotlight again after announcing that his autobiography will be published in December.

Following the unexpected news of his one-year hiatus from international soccer, Tim Howard is under the spotlight again after announcing that publisher HarperCollins will be releasing his autobiography on December 9th according to various sources.

Tim Howard announced last week that he will be absent from U.S. national team duty until September 2015 as he wants to spend more time with his family. Howard is currently the starting goalkeeper for English Premier League side Everton. The goalkeeper has made 104 appearances with the U.S. national team and he had an outstanding performance in Brazil 2014, especially in the dramatic match against Belgium that saw the USMNT getting knocked out in extra time.

The autobiography will be titled “The Goalkeeper” and is expected to cover Howard’s most memorable career moments and also different aspects of his personal life; including his battles with Tourette’s syndrome, hoping his case could inspire others.

On Monday, the 35-year-old began a new stage in his career as he started commentating for NBC Sports. Howard signed a multi-year contract to work as an analyst during English Premier League matches.
