Last week's battle for the ratings delivered a shocking result, as the Mexican National Team emerged as the team with the highest rating in the United States even with Premier League matches being played and aired in this country.
The game between Mexico and Colombia earned the top spot in the ranking during their loss to Colombia, which was followed by over 481,000 fans across the nation. Unfortunately, they had to see El Tri dropping a two-goal lead against Los Cafeteros.
The runner-up spot ended up with a couple of Premier League clubs, as Chelsea's win against Crystal Palace gathered a similar amount of viewers as El Tri's game, but not enough for the top spot.
The third place in this ranking went to another EPL match: the North London Derby. The early kickoff game aired by USA Network made over 430,000 fans in average watch the game despite the effort of getting up to watch a football match when most people are resting. All in all, the game did not disappoint, as the Gunners claimed a 3-1 win over Antonio Conte's men.
Let us have a look at the numbers last week brought us in terms of football games.
