The Spanish goalkeeper's interview with Jorge Valdano gave a few insights on what changed when the Special One became Los Blancos' boss.

A massive amount of ink was spent to document the harsh relationship between Jose Mourinho and Iker Casillas, but even if it's been years since they parted ways, the subject keeps coming up whenever any of them give an in-depth interview.

Such was the case of the Spanish goalkeeper, who looked back to those days when with the Portuguese coach and himself crossed paths. Casillas' description of Mourinho's tactics while at Real Madrid leaves no doubt Mou's ability to get the best -and the worst- out of every person he comes in contact with.

"He got there so we could compete against Barcelona. There were moments of massive tension, and he managed to bring out a side of being a madridista that I don't like. Radical fans came out of nowhere, and the third year was one of the worst seasons of my life," Casillas said.

"There were too many people that started to complicate things between us. It took a toll on him, on myself and Real Madrid," the shot-stopper added.

The Spanish ace went on about his relationship with The Special One, admitting that if he had the chance to do things all over again, he'd change a thing or two about how he got along with the Portuguese tactician.

"I should have stood up to him. Back then, I decided to stay quiet and honor Real Madrid's values. Looking back, I shouldn't have let it go, I should have 'taken the bull by its horns,'"Casillas added.

The Spanish veteran admitted that he is open to most experiences, including retirement.

"I change my stance every six months. The only thing I know is that I get excited with every passing game. I try to do so because right now, I don't know when I will play my last match," the goalkeeper concluded.
