Scunthorpe United and Nottingham Forest will go head to head on Tuesday with the two teams battling at opposite ends of the league table.
Forest are in fourth place after a 10 game unbeaten streak, and a win will see them close the seven point gap between themselves and league leaders Queens Park Rangers.

Scunthorpe currently sit in the relegation zone seven points adrift of safety. The Iron have lost 12 of their last 14 matches, and will be looking to avoid their fourth straight defeat against Forest.

Cardiff will be looking to close the six point gap on league leaders Queens Park Rangers, while Burnley will be looking to close the six point gap between themselves and the playoff spots. Both teams will enter this contest looking for their third straight league win.

Doncaster Rovers will play host to Ipswich Town at the Keepmoat Stadium on Tuesday. The two teams are separated in the table by only one point, but enter this game in very different form.

Sheffield United can escape the relegation zone with a win over Reading at Bramall Lane on Tuesday. Reading will be looking for a win to drag themselves back up closer to the playoff race.

Watford will need a win over rock bottom Preston North End if they are to revive their playoff push. Watford are winless in their last five games and have fallen nine points below the top six. Preston are 10 points adrift of safety and have failed to win in their last nine games.
 

Second placed Cardiff City will play host to Burnley in Championship action on Tuesday night. Cardiff will be looking to close the six point gap on league leaders Queens Park Rangers, while Burnley will be looking to close the six point gap between themselves and the playoff spots. Both teams will enter this contest looking for their third straight league win.





Star midfielder Peter Whittingham is expected to return for Cardiff, while Kevin McNaughton should play despite struggling with a hamstring problem.





Striker Charlie Austin is doubtful for Burnley, while Chris McCann is ruled out with injury for the Clarets.



Watford will need a win over rock bottom Preston North End if they are to revive their playoff push. Watford are winless in their last five games and have fallen nine points below the top six. Preston are 10 points adrift of safety and have failed to win in their last nine games.





Defender Lloyd Doyley is doubtful with a hamstring problem, and will be assessed ahead of kickoff for Watford.





Preston striker Iain Hume will miss the game with a hamstring injury, while Everton loanee Iain Turner is expected to start in goal for PNE.

Ipswich will be without captain David Norris, who is sidelined with a knee injury. Colin Healy and Jason Scotland are in line to start for the Tractor Boys.
