France may have struggled at times, but they eventually saw themselves walk taller than Argentina in their Round of 16 clash.
Les Bleus managed to come from behind after a goal by Gabriel Mercado, and most of the credit has to go out to Kylian Mbappé, who scored a brace in just four minutes to kill Argentina's hopes.
What makes Mbappé the standout player of the day is that he also had a hand in France's first goal, as he was brought down in the box by Marcos Rojo, which led to Antoine Griezmann scoring the first goal of the day.
If that wasn't enough reason to praise Mbappé, his display today matched that of none other than Pelé, as both footballers are now the only teenagers in history to have a hand in three goals during a KO stage match.

And if you want to feel a bit older, let's not remember this fact:
Mbappe is the only player who wasn't even born when France won the World Cup in 1998. The 19-year-old bagged a brace and an assist as France dumped Argentina out of the World Cup. Crazy.
