Owing to that, the early kick-off game between Genoa and Cagliari was abandoned while the players were warming up. Subsequently, the six other games scheduled for the day – including the Milan Derby - were also postponed indefinitely.

Davide Astori started his senior career at AC Milan but joined Cagliari after failing to make a single appearance for the Rossoneri and successive loan stints with Pizzighettone and Cremones. The Italian also played for AS Roma on loan from Cagliari before finally joining Fiorentina in 2016 after playing the prior season there as a loanee.
