Luis Enrique’s men come into this fixture hoping for a win in order to proceed to the last 16 round of the competition. Luis Enrique will have to select a squad without Messi, Neymar, Pique and Suarez, who have been permitted to go on holiday quite early after the Catalonia derby.

This match is expected to feature rather new faces for Barcelona, particularly from the U19A team. The likes of Jordi Tur, Marc Cucurella, Alex Collado, Carless Perez, Oriol Rey and Oriel Busquets training with the senior side ahead of this clash, and could be given a chance in the lineup.
These two teams registered a one-all draw in the first leg in a match where Barcelona had rested many of their key players ahead of El Clasico. The Copa del Rey defending champions were a trailing by a solitary goal for the better part of the match but debutant Carles Alena found the back of the net to secure a draw for the visitors.
And now, Barcelona are expected to field a stronger squad for the Wednesday clash. The likes of Denis Suarez, Rafinha, Arda Turan and even Andres Iniesta could start to provide some balance in the team. The visitors, on the other hand, are expected to play a defensive game while pinning their hopes on the likes of Jose Gasper to find the breakthrough.
Another key player, Paco Alcacer, will be put to test here for the umpteenth time since joining the Alicante-based side over the summer. The ex-Valencia man has not scored a goal for Hercules since joining them and this match gives him the chance to silence his critics. All said and done, FCB should not have trouble proceeding to the next round of the competition they have won 28 times.
