There seems to be no "love" between Antoine Griezmann and Cristiano Ronaldo, and the following claim is a good example to consider.
Speaking in an interview with France Football, the Portuguese captain revealed he met Griezmann randomly while on vacation. The French star's words could be considered as a taunt, but CR7 took them lightly.
"It's funny, because shortly after the final, while I was on vacation in Miami, I met Antoine Griezmann in a restaurant where he was dining with his fiancee. He came over to my table and said with a sly smile: 'Cristiano, I hate you!," CR7 stated.
The Portuguese superstar went on to win the UEFA Euro with Portugal, and he seems to be convinced about how over confidence was key to defeat France in the Final.
"When we started warming up on the pitch, I felt the French looked a bit too relaxed. They were smiling a lot. You have the right to smile before a game but they all seemed very happy. The French thought they would win easily – at least that's the impression we go,"the Portuguese star added.
In less than six weeks, Cristiano snatched two major trophies away from Griezmann's hands, as he was crucial for Real Madrid during the UEFA Champions League and in the Road to the UEFA Euro Final. Maybe Griezmann meant every word, but this time, we'll take Cristiano's light approach regarding this incident.
