The Dutch striker admitted that returning to Old Trafford will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience, following his 3.5 M transfer last season.
"It will be a special occasion and a special game for me. I'm now playing for Fenerbahce and I want to do well for my team, but of course it will be special to play 'at home' in a great stadium with great fans against a great team," RVP stated.
Van Persie left the club prior to the start of the 2015-16 season. Although he spent some time out due to injuries, his numbers weren't bad at all.

The Dutch ace also looked into how his former team approaches this game, considering that the club needs to focus on winning this tournament even if they didn't want to be included in it to begin with.
"I know Manchester United want to be in the Champions League, but it's how it is now and for me it is a very special group in the Europa League," the player added.
Van Persie left the club last season, as Louis Van Gaal thought he had nothing more to give back to the team. The all-time top scorer with the Dutch National Team managed to send the ball into the back of the net 58 times in 105 games with the Red Devils, helping them to win the EPL title and the Community Shield in his first year with the club.
