For the first time since the transfer speculations began to make rounds on social media, the French star has opened up about his future. Speaking to The Sun, he revealed that he has no plans of leaving the Premier League club next season, despite the relentless efforts from the European bigwigs to sign him. He said:
“I’ve heard about all the interest and I’m flattered.
“But I love West Ham. We had a fantastic season and I can’t wait to play in the Olympic Stadium.
“I’m 100 per cent staying at West Ham, I love the club. I can tell the Hammers fans that.”
This comes just a few days after West Ham co-owner David Gold had revealed that the free-kick sensation was worth 100 million pounds in the transfer market, a sentiment that sparked mixed reactions on social media. Now that the player himself has declared his interest to stay with the Hammers next season, this could be a huge blow to Los Blancos and PSG, but also a big reason for fans of the Premier League side to celebrate.
