The Irish come into this game having struggled to earn their place in the European competition. On the other hand, after finishing second in their Euro qualifying ground behind bigwigs England, Switzerland have registered seven wins in their campaign and scored 24 goals in the process. Although they have been strong at home, having scored 11 goals against Lithuania and San Marino, Switzerland are not as good when playing away from their home crowd. They have lost twice in their last five games away from home. However, they did register a 2-1 win over Austria in an international friendly away from home back in November. Based on the low scoring record between the two sides, this fixture could see under 2.5 goals with Ireland standing the higher chance of winning thanks to their impressive home record.
