Lionel Messi's amazing year with Barcelona where he won it almost all (except the Pichichi) has been clearly overshadowed by not being able to win the Copa America title with Argentina. There have been many people voicing their anger against La Pulga not being able to lead his national team. His brother has had enough of that.
Mattias used social media to voice his complaints against those who feel his brother is betraying his homeland. A few days earlier, Diego Maradona, Argentina's biggest soccer star and someone that even Messi admires, called La Pulga somewhat of a traitor.
"You're left saying to yourself, "Are you Argentinian or Swedish," Maradona said.
That did it for Mattias who has been having to hear how Maradona and thousands of other critics of the three-time Ballon d'Or winner. The 28-year-old player has even threatened to take some time off from playing with Argentina before receiving more hate from those who want to see him fail.
"Argentina don't deserve him," Mattias
