Germany and France will meet in Montreal for what many people wished would have been the final of the Women's World Cup. The team that has scored the most goals, Germany, meets with the team that has the best defense after four games.
The German squad, currently ranked number one and clear favorite to win the cup in Canada, started their journey with a 10-0 win over Ivory Coast in their debut. They followed it with a 1-1 draw against Norway, a 4-0 win facing Thailand and a 4-1 victory against Sweden in the Round of 16.

The French side will not only be playing against what has been arguably the best team in the competition, but the best team in Europe and the one with the most World Cup titles along with the United States (2). Germany has also never been defeated by a team from UEFA in the World Cup since 1995.
France can already look forward to hosting the 2019 Women's World Cup. They also would like to improve on their result from 2011, where they finished in fourth place after losing to Sweden in the game for third place.
One thing that both teams do just as good as each other is passing the ball. The ability of their players to get the ball from one person to another, plus their accuracy is like no other in the world of Women's soccer.
