Mexico: The "guests" want to spoil the Chilean party
Having met a number of times in friendly matches and in International competitions, El Tri has what it takes to shock the hosts, but first, they need to find some balance in a talented but unexperienced team. Coach Miguel Herrera was forced to call up two different teams due to all of Mexico's commitments, and they will have to trust veteran center back Rafa Márquez and gold-medalist Jesús Corona to lead his men. Ecuador: La Tri wants redemption after a disappointing World Cup
Being drawn into a group that gives them a good chance to progress, Ecuador enters this tournament with nothing to lose, although they have a lot to prove to themselves. After the death of striker Christian Benitez, it seems that there hasn't been a player that can take over goal scoring duties for "La Tricolor", which was one of the causes for their early exit from the World Cup last year. If they can manage to beat Mexico and Bolivia, they could possibly be considered as one of the tournament's surprises, but they will rely heavily on what Enner Valencia and Jefferson Montero can do, even if both of them did not enjoy the best years of their professional career. Bolivia: Mauricio Soria needs to re-construct quickly a struggling team
The Bolivians have been one of the least talented teams in the continent for quite some time, and they seem to be a sure win for their group opponents. Coach Mauricio Soria will have to dig deep to find some talent among his squad in order to rescue some points in this tournament. All hopes for the Bolivians will be set on Marcelo Moreno Martins' goal scoring skills, while Pablo Escobar tries to lead them into the second stage, which would be a grand development for them.
