It’s a big weekend for Chelsea. They could clinch their first trophy of the season – possibly Jose Mourinho’s first title since August 2012 when he guided ex-team Real Madrid to Spanish Supercup glory. Don’t miss the 2015 Capital One Cup Final – Chelsea vs Tottenham Hotspur – at 11am ET / 4pm GMT on Sunday, March 1st.
The Blues could also take a giant step towards the 2014/15 English Premier League title, without even playing a league game this weekend. That is, if Manchester City suffer defeat away to Liverpool. The Citizens are five points behind Chelsea. Defeat for the current EPL champions would offer Mourinho’s side a chance to open up an eight-point gap with 11 matchdays to go.
Expect fans of the Blues to fully rally behind the Merseyside Reds while Man City hope to temporarily cut the gap at the top of the standings to nothing more than two points. Interestingly, both Liverpool and Man City are wounded. The latter went down at home to Barcelona in the first leg of their UCL Round of 16 tie.

In the Italian Serie A, AS Roma vs Juventus is the match to watch. It is scheduled to kick-off at 2:45pm ET / 7:45pm GMT on Monday, March 2, 2015. A perfect way to close Matchday 25! The question is: will the Old Lady hit 60 points to create a 12-point advantage over second-placed Roma?
In the Primeira Liga in Portugal, there will be a battle between second and third while league leaders Benfica (56) will be wishing for a draw or a defeat of the Dragons (52) at home to the Lions (47). Watch FC Porto vs Sporting CP at 2:15pm ET / 7:15pm GMT on March 1, 2015.
In Spain, the team to pity right now is Villarreal. The Yellow Submarines first have to face Los Blancos in their Santiago Bernabeu fortress before attempting to overturn a damaging 3-1 loss to the Catalans in the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey.
