Colombia will have a nice opportunity to make their fifth place in the past World Cup count against their Central American rivals, El Salvador. Led by James Rodriguez, New York City will have the Colombians rocking the town like they did in Brazil, with their beautiful playing style and their colorful goal celebrations.
Jose Pekerman's team have to rise again, since their last game against Brazil was not as pleasant as they wanted, losing the match 1-0. With the confirmed retirements of legends such as Mario Yepes and Farid Mondragon, the Colombians will have Radamel Falcao ready to lead the attacking formation, with a little help from Real Madrid's James Rodriguez, and other celebrities like Teo Gutierrez from River Plate and Camilo Zuñiga, the midfielder that broke Neymar's back in their World Cup matchup. Furthermore, the Colombians will have the debut of a new goalkeeper in Camilo Vargas, who will take the spot of injured Arsenal keeper David Ospina.
As for El Salvador, this will not be an easy match. After having 20 of their most important players banned after allegations of gambling in the team's results, Spanish coach Albert Roca has to rebuild this team from the ashes. Having finished fourth in the recent Central American Cup, Roca's crew will only have practiced together for two sessions, since the local league refused to stop its tournament. The Spanish coach will have a young and willing team at his disposal, trying to save face against the heavily favoured Colombians.
