Despite the almost universal outcry by the football community calling for an even more serious ban on Luis Suarez for the disgraceful bite on Giorgio Chiellini, twice-banned Diego Armando Maradona criticized FIFA’s decision.
Ridiculous how Maradona has compared Suarez's ban to being in Guantanamo.Huge insult to those still there without charge for so many years!

The crazy ridiculous support for suarez has started thankfully its only from another crack pot T-shirt wearing flawed genius in maradona

The Argentine had a number of issues with football regulating bodies and it understandably empathized with Luisito. While playing for Napoli, in 1991 el Diego was suspended for 15 months for testing positive to cocaine. Further, el Pibe de Oro was banned again in 1994 for failing a drug test for ephedrine. Most notably though, the talent scored what remains one of the most controversial goals with his hand against England during the 1986 World Cup.
@guardian Wow! Maradona is ridiculous! He would be ok w/ biting...just as ok with using his hands to score a goal I'm sure! #NoBiting

Comments from Maradona & the president of the Uruguayan Fa are nothing short of ridiculous "Suarez ban an assault on the poor" #WorldCup

Maradona never took responsibility for cheating England out of the 1986 World Cup
Former cocaine-addict, provoked:
“This decision is a disgrace. I can't understand this. Who did Suarez kill to get this kind of ban. Why don't [Fifa] handcuff him and send him to Guantanamo [Bay]?”
Diego Maradona is right, it's wrong to crucify Luis Suarez. I believe it has to be either garlic or a stake through the heart.

82 - sent off, 86 - hand of God, 90 - Argentina diving, 94 - thrown out of world cup for cheating. Maradona the perfect man to back Suarez.

Maradona, who was handed a suspended jail sentence in 1998 for shooting journalists with an air rifle, added:
El Diego associated with Hugo Chavez, known for having harbored and protected members of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC)
Despite the overwhelming and clear evidence, some papers, mostly from Uruguay, still describe the incident as "the alleged bite"
If videos and pictures were not enough, there were bite marks on the Italian World Champion's shoulder
