The BBC holds free-to-air Premier League highlights rights in the United Kingdom. The current highlights deal between the Premier League and the BBC, which runs until the end of the 2028-29 season, involves the broadcaster showing two highlights shows every week. The first is shown on a Saturday night and includes extended highlights of every Premier League match played that day, and the second is on a Sunday night, which offers highlights of Sunday's matches, in addition to shorter highlights of Saturday's matches.

BBC Radio Manchester is an English Radio Station serving the Greater Manchester area, the Northeast Cheshire region, the Northwest Derbyshire area, and portions of the English Northwest region. It is owned by the British Broadcasting Corporation and it was launched on September 10, 1970.

This radio station worked uninterruptedly with the same name and format for 18 years, until the BBC chose to change the name to BBC GMR, which stands for Greater Manchester Radio. This change lasted for 18 years, when the company decided to rebrand the station as BBC Radio Manchester in 2006. 

The station includes contemporary music and talks shows of different subjects, including sports. Its programming may also include sports broadcasts featuring Premier League teams such as Manchester United or Manchester City. During the station’s downtime, BBC Radio Manchester has featured in the past shows from BBC Radio 5 Live.

The station can be tuned in on FM radio and it may also be listened to on digital radio and via select streaming services. Check local listings for details.
