Top Serie A matches to watch on matchday three

Lazio vs Inter: After narrowly missing out on the Scudetto last season to cross-town rivals Milan, Inter will again be in the hunt for the top prize as they have boosted their squad this term. The Nerazzurri have brought back Romelu Lukaku on a loan deal from Chelsea to further enhance their attacking options, and so far, Simone Inzaghi's side have picked up back to back wins from their matches against Lecce and most recently, Spezia. Of course, Lazio, who are Inzaghi's former side, will present a much sterner challenge, especially as Maurizio Sarri's side will look to recover after a disappointing scoreless stalemate with Torino last round.

Juventus vs Roma: A mouth-watering clash is in store as Juventus and Roma prepare to do battle on matchday three. The Bianconeri are already under pressure following an insipid scoreless draw with Sampdoria, during which Massimiliano Allegri's tactics became the subject of many memes. Meanwhile, Roma may not have recorded the most exciting results lately, but the Giallorossi have picked up maximum points from their first two matches and will look to continue in the same vein when Jose Mourinho and his troops arrive in Turin on Saturday.

Milan vs Bologna: For the first time in over a decade, Milan have started off the Serie A season as defending champions. Although Stefano Pioli's side earned a 4-2 win over Udinese, Atalanta, once again, turned out to be a frustrating thorn in the Diavolo's side as they had to settle for a point. This weekend will see the Rossoneri take on another small side, with Bologna arriving at the Stadio San Siro. Will Milan rebound to earn a victory against a team who have yet to find their footing?

Fiorentina vs Napoli: Once again, Napoli lead the way, but that will not count for anything if the Partenopei do not find themselves on the winners' podium at the end of this season. There was much concern about the team after they saw several key players depart, including star defender Kalidou Koulibaly for Chelsea and skipper Lorenzo Insigne to Toronto. While they still do have some defensive concerns, as evidenced by the two goals conceded in a 5-2 winner over Hellas Verona, Napoli have netted nine times so far this season, which certainly puts them in good stead ahead of their trip to face a Fiorentina side who have yet to really kick into gear this term.
